LaZelle Durden

PROGRAM MANAGER

LaZelle Durden, Program Manager for Vipers Elite Sports, brings a passion for athlete development and a commitment to excellence. With strong leadership and a focus on building a positive, competitive environment, he helps to ensure every athlete has the opportunity to grow and succeed.

Lamar Rice

His strong play led him to sign a national letter of intent with Clemson, where the 6'7", 215lb versatile wing/forward contributed across multiple positions from 2003-05, appearing in 60 games and averaging 10 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in just under 21 minutes per contest, with shooting splits of 43.8% from the field, 39.2% from three, and 87.1% from the line. After college, Rice joined the New York Knicks' NBA Summer League roster, spent time in the NBA G-League (including with the Utah Flash), and went on to play professionally overseas for a decade in six countries, including Japan's top JBL league. Today, he is the founder and CEO of Rice Basketball Academy (RBA), a Puma-Sponsored program competing on the Puma Pro 16 Circuit, where he focuses on advanced player development, skill training, mentorship, and helping youth and high school athletes gain exposure and opportunities by drawing on his extensive collegiate and professional experience.

Lamar Rice, a Flint, Michigan native and graduate of Flint Southwestern Academy, began his college career at Mott Community College, where he averaged roughly 16 points, 7 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and shot about 57% from the field during his final season. His two-year impact helped Mott achieve a 65–8 record, earning him all-conference, all-region, all-state recognition, and honorable mention Junior College All-American honors.
